Shiatsu stems from traditional Chinese medicine, which has
a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Imbalances in
the natural flow of prana, or qi energy through the body is
believed to create illness. Shiatsu is a finger pressure
massage. I use finger and palm pressure in a continuous
rhythmic sequence on my client’s energetic pathways, called
meridians, to improve the flow of qi or prana energy.
Shiatsu assists in improving circulation, relieves stiff
muscles, and alleviates stress. Shiatsu massage also
assists in releasing underlying emotions from within the
cellular and physical body.
